Christmas in Greece
Christmas in Greece is a family celebration. On Christmas Eve morning kids take their triangles, go from door to door and sing the Christmas carols. There are also bands on the streets playing the carols all day long.On Christmas day people go to church and the family gathers for lunch. We don't have any special food, but we usually eat meat (roast pork, meat soup or roast turkey), salad, potatoes and pies. For dessert we always eat melomakarona and kourambiedes. Christmas day is a time when all the members of the families even if they live far away get together.
